Leon Hines
Solicitor
Leon advises and acts for clients in a wide range of corporate, commercial and finance matters, often in the context of dispute resolution. He is an excellent negotiator and is equally comfortable in contentious or commercial settings. He views himself as a solver of problems and an architect of complicated deals and projects.
Originally a banking and finance litigation solicitor in the City, Leon has developed into a one man multidisciplinary practice. He has recently acted/advised on matters as diverse as large scale debt and equity raising projects, acting on the listing of a tech start up on the junior stock exchange, establishing a private equity fund, ongoing work on the founding of the first ever sharia compliant challenger bank and, of course, complex litigation matters.
There is often a cross border element to the tasks that Leon takes on. He is originally from Jamaica and has lived in Kenya, Barbados, the United States as well as the United Kingdom. He has close ties and contacts all around the world but most particularly in Africa, India and the Middle East as well as the Caribbean and the United States.
