Francis Nwokedi

Managing Partner

Francis was formerly head of the Banking and Finance department at the London office of a leading Canadian law firm, and more recently, head of Structured Finance and Africa practices at the London office of a major City law firm. Francis had trained, qualified and worked in the London and Paris offices of a Magic Circle law firm.

A native of Nigeria, he has extensive experience of all forms of finance – including securitisation, structured finance, tax driven transactions, equity and structured credit derivatives, project finance and shari’ah compliant capital markets transactions.

Francis has significant experience in African markets and industries and largely advises African project sponsors in the energy (including renewables), oil & gas, hard infrastructure, projects, agribusiness, fintech and financial institutions sectors.

Francis also has extensive experience in the developed capital markets, where he has been involved in complex restructuring and regulatory changes for over 25 years.
